Company
Profile
Navo & Sons Inc. was founded in 1968 by George C. Navo. Business was
conducted for several years out of George's home on Mc Courtney Rd. in
Grass Valley. Initial start up capitol was $500.00, a humble beginning
indeed.
Johnny on the Spot was added in 1972 as a d.b.a. of Navo & Sons Inc.
through Johnny on the Spot we supplied portable toilets for new
construction and special events.
The business development plan called for a "main street" location as
soon as possible and so in 1973 the business was re located to where it
is today at 10815 Idaho-Maryland Rd.
George's son Randy a participant in the business at this time and
concentrated his efforts on sales and service. In 1976 Mark Navo started
full time at Navo & Sons Inc. This pairing of the Navo brothers along
with George Navo enabled Navo & Sons Inc. to expand service territory for
both septic pumping and portable toilets.
In 1982 Jaye Deen Navo joined the Navo & Sons team and worked as an
office manager and dispatcher.
Shortly after the addition of Jaye Deen Navo, George Navo semi-retired to
pursue other projects.
The combination of Randy, Mark, and Jaye Deen through hard work and
dedication was able to expand Navo & Sons to other avenues - such as
leach field tracing, septic inspections, and TV inspections.
In seeing a need to diversify Navo & Sons Inc. purchased the Grass
Valley Roto-Rooter Franchise in 1988. In 1993 Navo & Sons also purchased
the Auburn Roto-Rooter Franchise.
In 1995 Randy Navo achieved his Contractors State License in both
plumbing and sanitation systems. This allowed both Navo and Sons Inc.
and Roto-Rooter to expand into the plumbing industry. Navo and Sons Inc.
started installing septic tanks and leach fields and Roto-Rooter could
take care of all their customer's plumbing needs.
In 1996 Johnny on the Spot was sold to further focus Navo Corp towards
the septic and plumbing repair business.
In 1999 Navo & Sons Inc. by adding an Environmental Health Specialist
to their already very capable crew, Navo & Sons Inc. was able to expand
into designing septic systems and performing perc & mantles.
In seeing the need to expand their Pumping, Installations, and
Plumbing into the Placer County area, Navo & Sons Inc. purchased
All-Sierra Septic in 2000. Another office was opened in 2001 in the City
of Auburn and the previous owner Mike Nash was hired to manage All-Sierra
Septic.
Today, Navo Corp is the largest Septic, Sewer, and Plumbing service
companies in Nevada and Placer Counties. It's innovative approach to
conducting business has drawn the attention of the industry trade shows
where Randy and Jaye Deen were both guest speakers, which has resulted in
many articles written about the company over the past thirty years.
